Our History

Ethan C. Emmett has lived and worked in S. Florida for the last 45 years. Born in Bronx, New York, he served in the U.S. Marines before moving to South Florida. Married to his wife, Leslee for over 40 years they have two children, Randall and Jennifer.

Ethan has been an entrepreneur all his life and began in the insurance industry over 30 years as a career agent. He quickly saw a need for a full service brokerage agency and made it his mission to create an ” agent’s boutique back office”. Thus in 1988 Emmett Insurance Group, Inc. was created and has continued to grow as a highly respected organization in the insurance community. Specializing in impaired risk in both the domestic and international markets, he has made it a point to provide exceptional total quality service to his brokers.

In order to expand business opportunities, Ethan joined Insurance Designers of America, LLC in 2003. IDA is one of the country’s oldest and most successful life insurance marketing organizations. He has served as a board member, treasurer, and Chairman of this organization.
